Description: The downing and salvage of the K-14 is the subject of Islesford Historical Society Occaisional Paper #3 published in July 1992. This latest report concludes, as did the IHS paper, that the K-14 was sgit diwb vy a German submarine not wrecked due to "pilot error" as the Navy concluded. Description: The book appears to have been given to the Islesford School by the Sea Coast Mission in 1939. It is of interest because it contains numerous autographs of Islesford students from 1939-1949. The autographs often include comments on the weather such as "Agood day", "A slippery day", etc.
